Welcome to Yoakim Bridge Winery
Our winery and estate are nestled on four acres of land at the northern end of Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County in Healdsburg, California. Our landmark homestead consists of an 1886 Victorian farmhouse and a warm and rustic tasting room enhanced with a stunning valley view.
After graduating from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco in 1994, David Cooper and I joined together in pursuit of the perfect small vineyard and winery that we could manage ourselves to bring to life our passion for wine, food and friendship.
Our approach to winemakeing is with respect. We use natural, sustainable methods of cover cropping to replace nitrogen in the soil, and return all our composted grape seeds, skins and stems to the vineyard for additional nutrition.
Our old Zinfandel vineyard is head pruned and dry farmed. This is an ancient Italian method of farming that does not supplement the vines with water or nutrients from irrigation. This stressful and labor-intensive method of vineyard management produces grapes of great varietal intensity and flavor.
