2017 Yoakim Bridge Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

We are pleased to announce the early release of this estate grown, dry-farmed, old-vine Zinfandel. We anticipate great satisfaction from this obvious “youngster” in the coming years. It is slightly off-dry with spicy notes of dark-berry fruit…an elegant, bright, well-structured and supremely delicious wine.

2016 Yoakim Bridge Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

This racy, garnet hued wine with notes of pomegranate and rose has a red cherry base that is so typical of our dry farmed vineyard. The French and American oak are restrained. Our Zinfandel shows most generously when poured, (not necessarily decanted), an hour or two before drinking. You can enjoy it with many meat and cheese dishes that are not overly seasoned. It pairs especially well with turkey, duck, ham and mild sausages. Should you find yourselves with a few bottles next summer you scored the perfect accompaniment to an enjoyable afternoon on the porch or in the garden. CHEERS!

2015 Yoakim Bridge Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

We are especially delighted with this elegant dry-farmed, old vine Zinfandel. It is well balanced with highlights of black cherry fruit and a hint of sweet oak. Tannins are soft and the finish is lengthy. 35% of the same Zinfandel was added to the pinot blend (RED WINE) which greatly enhanced its complexity and nuance. Drink with abandon now and ENJOY!

2013 Yoakim Bridge Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

Grown entirely on our five acre estate dry farmed vineyard, this wine is 100% Zinfandel. It is an exquisite representation of our world renowned appellation. It is forward on the pallet with spicy notes of cinnamon, anise and raspberry. Acidity, tannin and fruit are in balance yet it is complex and delicate. It is a powerful wine. Celebrate now or lay down for a year or two. We look forward to enjoying it with spring lamb, summer barbeques and always, sunset on the porch.

2014 Yoakim Bridge Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This lovely vintage of 100% mountain fruit at the height of the drought continues to evolve as expected. We think it is worthy of careful cellaring as it beautifully structured and still very young. Treat it with respect and great anticipation. For those of you who have additional bottles of this in cellar you have our blessing to carefully open and preview. This will be worthy of an elegant meal.

2014 Yoakim Bridge Dry Creek Valley Merlot

In 1999 we made our very first Merlot and discovered that a few small vineyards in Dry Creek Valley were capable of producing fruit truly noble in character. This vintage of wine grapes, grown at considerable elevation in the historic Sweetwater Springs district represents the French varietal beautifully. Expect a bouquet of red berry fruit, deep garnet in color, yet noticeably dry and balanced. It is medium in weight and viscosity with a long and enjoyable finish.

2016 Yoakim Bridge Dry Creek Valley Petite Syrah

David’s first impression of this wine is always one of intensity and its incredibly deep, dark purple color. It is grown at an elevation of 800 feet, on Bradford Mountain which is located just a few minutes from our vineyard on the valley floor. Matt Vogensen, a fourth generation grower, applies just enough drip irrigation to keep these beautiful clusters alive, but still thirsty during the short heat spikes of late summer. We serve this wine with Mediterranean spiced lamb skewers. It also goes well with game and fragrant cheese.

2014 Yoakim Bridge Dry Creek Valley Petite Syrah

This dark hued Petite is grown on the western bench of Dry Creek Valley, due west of us at a considerable elevation. It has a dark, fruity nose and expresses and slight mineral on the palate. It is straightforward, dry and lighter bodied with an alcohol of 13.5 % . A lively acidity makes this a versatile food companion.

    Yoakim Bridge Zinfandel Sauce

This is Virginia’s original recipe featuring a blend of our estate Zinfandel wine, raspberries and other secret ingredients. It is an excellent complement to any grilled fare, especially ribs, chicken, salmon and game. Also try it on meatballs for a simple and delicious appetizer (that many of you may have sampled on your last visit!) It contains a trace of chocolate for it’s lingering finish. Sold only through the winery, it makes a lovely gift for friends, family and business associates.

2018 Yoakim Bridge Dry-Farmed Estate Olive Oil

This delicious 100% extra Virgin Olive Oil exhibits a beautiful green hue and a fruity finish with a delightful, classic EVO “catch” at the end. We use it as a dipping oil with crusty bread, as a base for salad dressings with shallots, garlic, anchovies and lemon juice. Elegant finishing touch drizzled over bowls of steaming hot soups or pasta dishes. It is bottled in 500 ml. clear flint bottles with a built-in pourer, which we hand fill ourselves from stainless canisters.
